Overview
The 138T system uses an engineered clip design that secures to the structural deck through the existing shingles without compromising the new metal roof’s waterproofing or thermal expansion behavior.
A breathable underlayment is installed over the existing shingles. Standing seam panels are then rolled onsite and installed over the underlayment using the 138T clip system. Your existing shingles become an insulating substrate; your new metal roof is engineered for over-shingle performance.
