About Collins Roofing and Sheet Metal

At Collins Roofing & Sheet Metal, we believe that excellence is built, not bought.

Our story began on November 4th, 2011, when founder Jeff Collins made the bold move to start a roofing company rooted in craftsmanship, accountability, and local values.
Though originally trained to be a teacher, Jeff shifted gears, believing that entrepreneurship would challenge him in ways that would foster personal and professional growth.

A Leader in Metal Roofing Innovation

Since 2015, we’ve specialized in manufacturing and installing custom seamless metal roof systems, including the structural-grade 238T standing seam system.
We roll our panels onsite using portable rollforming machines—eliminating endlaps, reducing waste, and delivering unmatched precision and performance.

We also pioneered energy-efficient techniques like using foam insulation and airflow control to stop ice dams in their tracks—saving clients money and preventing damage.

Over a Decade of Growth

Over the past decade, we’ve grown from a small team into a multi-location business with deep roots in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
We now operate from physical offices in Cloquet, MN and St. Louis Park, MN, serving customers throughout the Upper Midwest.

Built on Leadership and Teamwork

In early 2023, Jeff welcomed two new partners, Brian Spender and Brandon Jones, to help guide the company into its next chapter.
Together, they’ve scaled operations, improved processes, and strengthened customer experience.

Today, we operate with a dedicated in-house team of roofing professionals, not just subcontractors. Our people are trained, accountable, and focused on delivering top-tier service from start to finish.

Serving the Upper Midwest

We proudly install commercial and residential roofing systems throughout:

  • Duluth, MN

  • Minneapolis–St. Paul metro

  • Wisconsin

  • Iowa

From new construction to metal roof retrofits, or low slope membrane roofs—we’re equipped for any challenge.

“We replaced our old asphalt roof with a beautiful metal roof from Collins Roofing and Sheet Metal. Jeff and crew were great to work with and the final product met our expectations 100%!
